Appropriations: Funding for Peacekeepers

The United States has fullfilled its obligations to the United Nations (UN) for peacekeeping in 2008.

Although the funding push was successful this year, we must continue to work to ensure full funding.

• Ask Congress to authorize $339 million to cover our obligation to UN for peacekeeping in 2009.
• Ask Congress to pay off the United States' debt to the UN for peacekeeping.
