National Canvass to Prevent Genocide Kicks Off Today!

Today, December 1st, is the first day of Genocide Intervention Network’s week-long National Canvass to Prevent Genocide. This week, people across the country will be talking to their neighbors, organizing community events, and doing everything they can to raise the public awareness and support needed to build the movement to prevent genocide.

Pledges can be signed online at http://www.ipledge2protect.org - it’s as simple as adding your name.

The canvass is an offline component of an effort between The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and Genocide Intervention Network to enlist thousands of Americans to pledge to join the movement to prevent genocide.  From December 1 through the 7th, people from across the country can join the already 30,000 who have already pledged take a stand against genocide as part of the Museum’s new interactive installation From Memory to Action: Meeting the Challenge of Genocide
